In June 2019, the Government released the final guidance document of what schools will need to deliver around Relationship and Sex Education as part of the basic school curriculum.
At St Thomas More we have adopted the Ten Ten RSE scheme of work to enable us as a school to be compliant with this and it is what the Diocese of Birmingham have recommended.
We are on a 2 year cycle, where half of the curriculum will be taught in the first year group of the Key Stage and half in the second year group of the Key Stage.
We have adapted this Pathway across the year which can be seen in the RSE Long Term Plan.
The units taught for each Key Stage are:
•Created and Loved by God
•Created to Love Others
•Created to Live in Community
•Module 1 Units

Emotional well-being
Life cycles
•Module 2 Units

Keeping Safe
•Module 3 Units
